Academic and Career Planning for All MHASD Students
Mount Horeb Area School District is committed to providing a solid foundation for all students to be successful in their chosen path after graduation. To ensure MHASD graduates are college and career ready, all students will create a vision and plan for post-secondary success. Just as each student is unique, each vision and plan will be unique.
To assist students as they develop their individualized plans, Mount Horeb Area School District staff will engage students in academic and career development activities. These activities will align with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Academic and Career Planning (ACP) components of Know, Explore, Plan, and Go. Students will be offered various opportunities during their K-12 education for self-awareness (Know), exploration (Explore), career planning (Plan), and management (Go) activities. Specific opportunities and activities are outlined in the grade level links to the left.
Each year the Mount Horeb Area School District Board of Education will approve an Education for Employment Plan. This long-range plan includes a holistic view of the development and implementation of the required ACP components for grades 6-12. For more information regarding MHASD grade level academic and career planning activities and opportunities, refer to the links to the left. All other general Academic and Career Planning information can be found at the Department of Instruction's Academic and Career Planning (ACP) site.
